The official description says you pick a formation and starting players, then watch the match. It does not name the shapes. A public squad screen shows four buttons: 4-1, 3-2, 2-3, and 1-4.

What I checked
Single-source observation, reviewed 29 October 2026: NexoBlasta’s video published 24 October shows the four buttons and a 6/6 squad at 2:37. At 23:12, both 3-2 lineups contain three defenders, two attackers and one goalkeeper. The other position counts below are inferred from the button labels and that lineup; separate lineups for those shapes were not established. The upload date does not establish when the gameplay was recorded.
Reading the four buttons
A full side in this recording is one goalkeeper plus five outfield players. The numbers add to five, so they fit a defender-plus-attacker split rather than a real 11-player shape. 3-2 is the only shape with a full starting lineup on camera.

How I would change one thing at a time
As an editorial suggestion, compare shapes while keeping the players and their training as similar as possible. Record the lineup and several match results. A single scoreline cannot establish which shape is strongest.
The position filters visible at 22:26 are GK, DEF and ATK. That screen does not show a MID filter. It is evidence for this recording, rather than proof that every version uses the same position system.
